PIMPTON™ is a Saskatchewan based Canadian Hip-Hop pioneer whose influence extends far beyond the stage. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to his artistry while championing the next generation of talent through mentorship, artist development, and leadership.
Committed to creating opportunities for Black artists through the "Black Artists Export Program" (BAEP), PIMPTON™ has helped emerging talent access professional training, performance platforms, and career-building experiences both nationally and internationally.
His lasting impact on the music industry continues to inspire artists to pursue excellence, authenticity, and community through his craft.
Pimpton is a Rapper, Creator and Director recognized by CEAM Awards for his artistic brilliance, lyrical discernment and mentorship of emerging artists in Canada.

CEAMA seeks out emerging artists across music and the broader entertainment industry who have the talent, drive, and vision to take their artistry to the next level.
We believe today’s emerging artists are tomorrow’s industry leaders. We look for musicians and creatives who are committed to their craft, embrace collaboration across disciplines, pursue education and professional development, and use their success to create opportunities and mentorship for others in their communities.
Our focus is on artists with a burning desire to build careers beyond the traditional boundaries of music and entertainment—artists who see their talent as a platform for creativity, collaboration, entrepreneurship, and greater impact.
Through bursaries, mentorship, professional development, and our CEAMA House Artist-in-Residence program, we provide emerging artists with the resources, relationships, and real-world opportunities to turn ambition into action and take their careers to new heights.
We don't just recognize the next generation. We invest in it.
Since 2023, CEAM Awards has invested over $135,000 in tour sponsorships, bursaries, College/University scholarships, awards, residencies, artist development, mentorship and more. All funds and housing provided Solely from our committee members.
2025 CEAMA HOUSE ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE
Canadian-Nigerian Afrobeats artist Zochi received a 3 month residency and received over $35,000 in artist development funding including, residence in Toronto, marketing, Publicity (Eric Alper/Sasha Stoltz) and mentoring sessions with Michael Williams (MuchMusic) Jordan Patterson (Soul/Blues Pioneer) Sean Jones (Soul & RNB Pioneer - (IN ESSENCE)
She received 1-1 sessions with renowned Vocal Coach Elaine Overholt who contributed to Oscar winning films CHICAGO (2002) and CODA (2021)
Zochi was Featured in the ent. front page of Toronto Star and a promo tour starting at CBC Toronto, ending on Montreal radio.
Zochi performed with artists Sean Jones, and received tour funding to open for Canadian R&B sensation Jully Black through CEAMA partnerships and bursaries.
2026 CEAM AWARDS
Awarded to Hip-Hop Icon “Pimpton” the Legacy Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year 2026. This is the first hard award presented to an artist by CEAMA President Sandra Tyler Henein and Mentor Michael Williams (MuchMusic) in Pimpton’s hometown of Regina.

Looking ahead to 2027, we'll be expanding with additional short-stay artist residencies dedicated to BC artist concert tours and songwriting weekends.
